Choosing the right texture and finish for your design is very important. How will they react in an indoor or outdoor setting, durability, or even historical accuracy. Our experts are here to help answer any questions you may have. Below are some examples of the metals we work with in varying textures and finishes. Most textures can be applied to Steel, Aluminum, Bronze, Copper, white Bronze, or any of the other metals we offer. Samples are available and are made to order. Sample thicknesses and material choices may vary from one texture to another.

This is our most popular hammered finish. Utilizing our custom designed and fabricated pneumatic hammer, we give the metal its own unique texture. This is a wonderful enhancement to an already attractive material. Pictures show Brass/Bronze Texture Raw and with Hand Scotch-Brite finishing. Please note that Scotch-Brite will not eliminate all blemishes from the hammering and flattening process.
Named after an impact crater on the lunar surface this texture reveals more details the closer you look at it. The depressions give a very distinct contrast from the raised pattern created in the material and darken from the heating process. Shown here in a Scotch-Brite finish in copper and brass. A rough and rugged texture, Callisto evokes thoughts of arid mountainous landscapes. Many different levels of texture gives the metal more dimension and creates a wonderful pattern. Examples shown are copper, steel, and brass and were given a Scotch-Brite finish. Please note that Scotch-Brite will not eliminate all blemishes from the hammering and flattening process.
Combining many levels of texture, the screened pattern has a vast mixture of straight and curved lines and shapes. Because of the varying pressure of the hammer, it creates the look that some of the mesh patterns are further away than others. This pattern is best suited for softer metals and really benefits from a Scotch-Brite finish as shown here in aluminum, brass, and copper. Please note that Scotch-Brite will not eliminate all blemishes from the hammering and flattening process.
A bit like looking at the surface of a meteor the Small Heavy Forged texture creates a beautiful three dimensional surface. Shown in copper, the deep rounded heat darkened depressions with a Scotch-Brite finish really makes it stand out. Bar Stock Textures
Almost any of our textures can be applies to bar and round stock. There are even a couple more including Tree Bark, Corrugated, and Ram's Horn that give a deep linear texture to the metal providing a stark difference to its surroundings. Due to the wide range of material dimensions that bar and round stock comes in, please fill out the form to get a quote. Typically, bar stock comes in 36” or 72” lengths and is available in up to 6” in width.
As the name suggests, this texture closely resembles the bark of a tree and imparts a organic quality to the metal. This engaging texture has a wide range of possible uses from artwork to custom railings.
Ram’s Horn and Corrugated textures are also known as “fullered”. It can be done with smaller, close spaced lines up to larger wide spaced lines to achieve the pattern you are looking for.
This texture starts out just like the corrugated pattern but then gets repeated perpendicular to create this engaging look. Shown here in steel, brass, and copper. All with a Scotch-Brite finish.
